MBA with Concentration in Supply Chain Management: students can elect to fulfil their elective requirement by pursuing one of graduate certificates to specialize their MBA to fit their unique career goals while developing them into well-rounded professional candidates with a highly sought-after skill set by taking on just an additional course or few. Students may choose a completion schedule as little as 4 semesters (full-time) or several years and may elect to complete the program online, on-campus, or a blend of both. It provides students with flexibility in both time to completion and delivery mode. MBA with Concentration in Maritime & Ports Management: The MBA program is designed to achieve two key objectives: relevance and flexibility. Students may concentrate in either maritime management or supply chain management area by choice of their MSCM electives. It is the only undergraduate major of its kind east of the Mississippi River and graduates will be able to meet the needs of regional, national and international shipping, transportation, and distribution industries. BS in Business Administration - Maritime and Supply Chain Management (MSCM) Major: The maritime and supply chain management major is designed to provide students with an integrated working knowledge of maritime operations and supply chain management. The department’s Transportation Research Institute (TRI) actively supports formation on multi-disciplinary research teams to go after external funding and provides various types of research services to clients. Students can pursue Bachelors, Masters, and Doctor of Philosophy degrees in transportation. Freight movement, congestion, safety, land use, and emergency management are all important, relevant topics in the region. The Hampton Roads area is ideally suited to serve as the home to a program in transportation, with a variety of transportation modes converging within a congested, urban environment. The Institute also serves as a hub for applied education, training and research related to the development and management of transportation and storage systems, with ports serving as centers of internationally complex activities. Serving as a positive link with port related business, and public administration communities the Institute provides a catalyst for the delivery of education, training, research and service programs in both the credit and non-credit arenas.
